Hey guys, my name is john, just getting into mini trucks and where better to go but toyotaminis! Just thought I would introduce myself and meet some peeps. Being new to the mini truck scene, I'm most likely gonna have a lot of questions, so anyone out there that can help, would be much appreciated!

Welcome to TM! What year & model do you have & what are the plans for it? There are few guys on here from the Phoenix area. Being in southern AZ you get to go to all the big shows, I'm jealous!

I have a 1993 yota as of right now. And since im still a young guy, I can only do so much at a time hah. I have a lot of PLANS for my truck, but it will take a good amount of time to get it all done.

Being that i grew up in the import tuner scene, i was never fond of shiny wheels and all that chrome people usually see with minis. I was thinking of taking a different route with my truck and putting more of a street look to it.

As of now, the truck is white, but the guys that did the job did a HORRIBLE one (they didnt take off the stock decals and painted over them). So when i get the time, I'm gonna try this other idea i have for paint to see how it looks.

And i had some prick back into me while i was inside a food joint getting food, and by the time i was out, the guy was gone and i was left with a big dent in my driver side door and my side view mirror cracked. I got most of the dents out, but still have some little notches that i can't get to.

The only thing i really have done to the truck so far is i have 3 inch blocks in the back to lower it a tad, and doing the torsion bars in the front soon.

Once i get the money, of course im going to do a whole bag system and slam the beast to the floor. I'm going to repaint it like i said before, get some small body parts for it to make it look cleaner, and just have it as my daily.

    Thanks for the welcome guys~!

The truck is farrr from nice, but it will get me by for now. Only disappointments are the paint, and no money for the bag kit. Since this is my first project, first mini truck, and first car in general, its gonna be one hell of a project :clapping::clapping:

What do you want the truck to do?? Be fast?? Look good sitting still?? sports car handling?? You have to provide a little bit of info before we can set you on the right path. Oh and hello

if its not running right, do a tune up first..all fluids, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, check your timing etc. that should be under $100 easy. and assuming you have the 22re i would check to see if your timing chain guides are still there. Defintely replace those to the metal guides to avoid any blown head gaskets in the future...(it got me)

    throw some pics up

I would like it to look nice sitting still, but still have some oomph to it. doesn't have to be insanely fast at all, just run well and be somewhat fast.
