coil spring replacement

    Does anyone know where I can get a new pair of front coil springs for my 78 Chinook? The local toyota dealer wasn't any help. Thanks

    you are prolly F'd in that dept.



    you might try dobson springs, or any company that makes springs for a pre 78 corona.


    but i think you would be better off going to a junkyard with a tape measure (for overall diameter) and cutting to fit some more common springs.

    ya, i think corona ones are a bit stiffer then the truck ones for some reason:shrug:



    they both use the same front suspension setup. i actually have hilux springs in my wagon right now.




    or you could just try to find some 74ish-78 truck springs.



    the spring rate might not be even close for what you need tho, you do have a camper...
