hey, I recently bought a 79 yota and need some help with a couple things. I curently have a 2" body drop, C notch in the rear, I z'd the frame in the front and sat the truck on frame! Im guessing its lowered about 12" and im having to cut out the center tranny crossmember for clearance. I am custom building a hood and im having some problem clearing the brake booster with the tire! So im getting some KMC monsters with a huge offset to clear the booster, so i am doing a wide body to compesate for the offset. i am building a custom fourlink in the rear, and looking for some airbags right now but dont have any clue what im looking for. I have also ran into a problem with the front suspension, the top A-arm is to narrow to clear a bag! if u could help me out that would b great!!! Also the guy I bought the truck from told me not to do the bag over axel. I was wondering what the pros and cons were??? any info would b greatly appreciated thanks

The rear half of trucks is generally much lighter than the front half. Placing the bag directly on top of the axle creates much higher payload than is necessary and results in a stiff ride. Placing the bags in front of the axle (typically on top of the lower link arm) creates more leverage on the bag, resulting in a smoother ride. The geometry of this position will also result in more lift.

I don't think it's an issue with your particular year of truck, just more a general theory in bagging trucks.
