Hi all, Kenny here from Redding, CA (way up at the north end of the central valley) Have had a variety of toys over the years ['68 corona deluxe, '82,'84,'86 pickups, '99 RAV4, '05 Sienna] Currently dealing with an '86 4Runner. Got it for my Daughter in '97 for high school graduation, she sold it to my son in '04, Did some horse-trading with him in '05 and ended up with the rig. Drove it for about 9 months and then non-op'ed it in 12/05 because it wouldn't pass CA smog due to low compression in #1 cyl. [Turns out he put a rebuilt engine in but didn't follow up with the warranty instructions], Sooo....with only 3500 miles on this engine, it's been sitting on the side of the driveway for 4 years and has been started only 3 times [started right up - I put a double dose of Sta-Bil in it when I parked it & kept the battery charged up]. Will be looking for ideas on a few head scratchers after the rebuild. See ya in the forums!

Nice looking 4Runner! And you've got my rims and paint! (except the stripes) I envy you for having that Smittybilt bumper... gave up on looking for one after I heard they were discontinued. Welcome to the site
