Man there is nothing worse than hearing about a Yota getting hit. Man that sucks. But now you get to have some more fun with it!

bought it for $250...w/wiring harness but w/4l80e..which i'm in search of now..lol....it being out of an "hd 2500" gives one option for a trans...the trans it came with...reason being because the crank is .44 bigger than a stock ls1 crank, which makes the seal pad bigger and different rear main, the ls1 crank will work but the motor will have to be re-balanced, i have the stock crank and an ls1 crank that i bought for $50 tht needs to be grinded and polished....doing this on such a tight budget is kinda of leaning me towards the stock crank

    took the intake,wiring harness,water pump,a/c compressor,bracketry, exhaust mani's, coil packs...etc

lol...thx dude, appreciate it....i ended up buying two 5.3 vortecs....same ls-series as my 6.0 but have lower miles n more tranny options...had to jump on it...so i can use the 6.0 in my 67, got both 5.3's for 300 off some dude hurting for mula

...i also cut down my 64 merc montery wagon dash to fit the yota cab but need finish tacking that back together...making it bolt in as well..pics up later this week

yea that would help hp wise...i got lucky with these two motors...they both have aluminum heads..lol, which will less weight on my bags
...its deff a good idea predracer...i have a spare ls1 intake, crank, and cam but its a build on a really tight budget so i'm going to take my chances and go with a stock 5.3...i wont catch traction either way..lol....

    pics of dash..so far:

    dash update:
needed to section(shorten) 5 3/4" out of the dash side to side once steering column was centered...i started by cutting the dash in 2 but i needed to decide where to make my cuts before anything was done...so after measuring again again and again i chose to delete the radio because it was the flatest section.....the radio being 8 inches wide, screwed with my measurements...so i kept the right side knob of the radio and trimmed the 1st piece(driver side half) 3 1/2" and the 2nd piece(pass side half) 2 1/4" to get my fitment...they're not tacked together yet but its fits better than i thought it would...obviously needs "clean up metal work" done around the egdes which will be a bitch and flowing it into the doors...but i think i will like it...ecspecially since it will be bolt in
