First of, I have a 1994 toyota 2wd truck..... i am thinking of doing a 4wd front end swap......Question is, which is the best one to do??? Secondly, if i do the front end swap, will i still be able to use my phantom grille thats on the truck.....also what all will i need for the swap??? Now onto another thing.....my truck is bagged, and the bed is not covered, so question is, how should i cover it up??? Tonneau cover, Solid side camper shell, or a bed cover that is inside the bed ands flush mounted with the top of the bedrails???? Does anyone have pics of a toyota truck baggged with each of these??? Sorry about all the questions, i am a newb here trying to gather information.....

i think for the 4x4 swap all you really need is fenders and the corner lights. i know a 2wd bumper will fit but it will sit flush with the flares on the fenders unlike the 4x4 bumper, i have a pic of a truck with the camper shell on it at home that ill post up wen i get off work later. i was thinking bout that or a flush mount tonneau cover. ill get some pics up later on tonight for you

sweet thanks man.....yeah i am not really worried about the corner lights, as i am gonna shave them and the bumper lights and figure out some custom front turns to match the rear tails on it.....

4x4 front end; youl need the bumper/valance combo so it looks right. IMO 4x4 fenders look a lil off with the 2wd bumper. second is obviously the fenders. If your guna use your phantom then theres no need to even worry bout the grill and lights you wana use.

If you do the 4wd bumber/valance you will need the 4wd bumper brackets also.

    I used my stock 92-95 2WD brackets with my 92-95 4WD bumper.

    fits well?

Either one will work, it all depends on what you want.
    <<< I have a full 4wd front end, the 4runner bumper/valance is different.

Anything from 89-95 trucks and 90-95 4runner's will work. They didn't change the bodystyle on the 4runner's til '90, so the 89 4runner has the same body has the 84-88 trucks.

If I am correct, 89-91 4WD bumpers and 90-91 4Runner's have same bumpers, they have little rivets on the end. Valance's vary
89-95 2WD bumpers are essentially the same I suppose? But valances vary between V6 or I4 correct?

92-95 4WD bumper's have a slight dip in the middle. Valances have this bottom side "crease"
92-95 4runner bumper/ valance are totally different. Bumper doesnt enclose the signals, but it's recessed by the plastic valance.

    92-95 4Runner corner's are different than the 4WD's and early 4runner's.
    all 2WD corners interchange.

Well i believe theres 3 different 4wd bumpers. The one that looks like the regular 2wd one. the one with the dip in the middle. and the 3 piece(has rivets or bolts holding on the end caps)

then theres the 92-95 4runner bumper.

    valances are different as well.

corners are different between the 4x4 trucks, and early 4runner from the 92-95 4runner.

fenders from the 4x4 and 4Runner are the same

There is no difference between valances on V6 or I4.

Here is the 89-91 4wd 3-pc. bumper and valance

here is a 92-95 4wd bumper and valance (this the front end I have)

There is no difference, that I know of, between the 89-91 4wd and 90-91 4runner front ends.
