lol Here's my current project. http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t137/DubVipers_ICT_Drifter/Truck/IMG_1653.jpg Gunna paint in the eyes and sharpie the outlines later. one day i'll get some wide low offset gold wheels. then make myself a metal ironman helmet, have the eyes light up too. then in the rear under the bed, i'm gunna get a miniature ironman and hang him from there. Have him in the flying pose
Used a stencil for the main painting (red and gold, and then eyes), the rest of the outlines I had to try via hand, which was a little tough. the picture i used for reference was a little off. I need an ironman outfit ASAP hehe
It first began with the mudflaps. couldn't decide over autobots stencil or ironman stencil. but it'd be more logical to go with an Ironman theme, red and gold! I don't have the cash to spend on nice wide and flush gold wheels (one day i will) so here's what i have! OMG FLYING TRUCK!
Nice work on the steelies. I have been thinking of doing the same theme on my 82. Thanks for the pics. Just curious what type of rattle can paint did you use? By the way the mud flaps look sic! Remove that middle leaf and your truck will tuck tire just like the front. Then your mud flaps will drag seemingly making your truck look bagged!
I'll pull the middle leaf sometime soon. for some reason right side of bed is higher than left :[ The front I'll lower even more, but those pesky nuts and bolts are in my way. will get a go at those later. Master Design's 24kt Pure Gold craft spray paint. I found it in the garage. I recall my sisters using it 5-6 years ago. one stroke of spray and it looks like you did 5 strokes of regular paint. it goes QUICK! and i love it! We'll see where i can get more. its awesome stuff! About the mudflaps.... they scrape up the driveway haha
Pull a leaf for sure and she'll be right. Flaps look sweet. I've been pondering putting mine back on but they'll be on the ground for sure.
