Switzerland - Authorities say an Italian man took reckless driving to new heights in 11 frantic minutes of traffic violations in eastern Switzerland.

They say they first spotted the 47-year-old driver as he sped his jeep past an unmarked police car at 160km/h in a rainstorm on Sunday.

Driving dangerously close to other cars on the autobahn, he then allegedly ignored police attempts to pull him over - first with a stop sign, and then with flashing lights and sirens.

Police say the man drove through a construction zone at 140km/h, nearly twice the speed limit, before being stopped.

They seized the man's driver's licence, and a judge ordered him tested for medications and illegal drugs.

Police said on Monday the man racked up 15 traffic violations in 11 minutes.

I bet some mini trucker at one time or another has been treated excatly like that by some cop that pulled them over. Back around 89 I got pulled over for being too low and the cop said to raise it up and don't let me catch you driving around this low again, at least he didn't impound the truck, it was 3" blocks and 3' torsions turned down, I thought it wa sa joke but he's the cop so I raised th front 1" and never got pulled over again, I think he was just in a bad mood at the time.

i had a friend that had a little civic hatch just dumped on the ground. got pulled over almost once a month and they would have to try and tow it. well, it would work with wheel lifts and couldnt fit onto ramp trucks. so she would call a buddy to drive it home. cop would leave. theyd circle back to get his car and she would continue driving.

my 78 barely made it onto a ramp truck recently when the tranny went out. lol.
