I looked at a 89-91 4Runner from the side and noticed it didnt use leaf springs and it had a sway bar? could we use the sway bars on our trucks? how about the coil springs?

If your going to convert from leafs to coil springs( recommend air ride) ,then go to coil overs!
The stock sway bars are ok,but with sway bars you want thicker bars= better handing ,along with getting up tight to the frame! After market bars are in most cases thicker!

a lot of drag cars are setup with a 4link and coils. must not hop too much.

a friend of mine has that setup in her early 90's drag blazer. the truck is wicked.

U get more wheel hop from the leaf springs then you do on a 4 link+coilovers.

I think the 4 link would help alot with axle wrap, correct me if im wrong

I put a sway bar off of a 1990 4runner on my 86. I cut the frame mounts off the 4runner and just reused them and then I fabed the mounts on the axle. It handled alot better for sure and the cool thing about using a 4runner sway bar is that the after market sway bars for 4runners are thicker than the ones they make for the pickups
