Yep, happens right before I get home too. My little bro was home sick today and a lady came by wanting to take it for charity or tax rebate some bs. My brother says " I cant answer any of these questions its not my car" so she leaves a note for me and a cell number. not a hour later a tow truck shows up and takes my car! wtf ( im still not home at this time) So the bottom line is someone knew somebody in the towing business, probably gave them so extra bucks to jack my car right in front of my house and bam, like that, gone. Already had the cops do a report thinking it was towed because it sat on the curb for more then 5 days and it was filthy cuz I dont drive it much anymore but, they didnt have any records of the car being towed thus, being stolen. rediculous The car was a beat up old integra. probably cuz someone has seen my truck and thought well if that truck is a POS and goes really fast, then that POS integra must be the same way? dumb basterds. still cant believe it though.
Im thinking that lady has something to do with it. coincidence? it wasnt worth anything but the car ran great and was a good beater. just sucks knowing there ARE watching you. then the other day someone tried breaking into my house while I was still home! goes to show you that theives just dont care anymore, night or day.
All I can say is **** Kalifornia. It seems just about every other day I read someone in Kalifornia is getting a vehicle stolen.
I do not understand the scam but IT DOES HAPPEN... they come ask u if wanna scrap it for some cash or donate it and if u say yes they end up towing a nicer car u have by mistake and then tell u its too lates its already been crushed or u say no and they take it anyways... my friend sioney had his old school corollas scooped like this
Which is why I am moving.... again That sucks. I have that nutsy ladies number but im still figuring it out. thanks for the input. i am glad that im not the only one.
get things figured out ASAP! Good luck man, i just wanna park my truck closer to the house every bit i want now...
awesome. send them a self destructing text message haha. If it dont show up, no big deal. the car didnt have anything in it. I pulled the stereo and speakers before it was stolen. I intended to sell it for $1,000 but the only value were the tires and the traction bar still sucks, like you have been violated. Im moving to oregon soon, actually going up there this next weekend to check it out. who want to help me move? IBeSeen? I know your close
That freakin sucks! Sorry to hear that. What are the plans? Are the cops searching for the car? You could come to Boise, cars hardly ever get stolen here and I've never had my house broken into. A deck was stolen once but that was in my soft top Jeep. Thieves around here won't take the time to try and get into locked cars.
Anywhere at this point, My dads side of the family lives in eugene and springfield so being close to that area where there is no smog is great. I was looking at brookings but the town is more of a retirement area then anything.
Cops said its on the list so if anyone is caught with the car or driving it they will be arrested. If there is snow in that state then hell no haha. I lived in Truckee, ca for awhile and it was snow everyday for 3 years. I stayed in really good shape moving that snow but I got sick of it.
thats nothing. I can deal with that. just not year around. my grandparents live over by the airport. I love that area.
We get a little snow here, not as much when I was a kid. Here read this short thing about Boise weather http://www.realidaho.com/boise_area/weather/ Plus, no matter what you're into (boating, mtn, biking, fishing, skiing, dirt bikes, off road, camping, etc.) its all bout an hours drive away.
Very true! Ok, so ya one uped me.... My wife wants to move back to Seattle when she graduates. She's from there, I'm born and raised in Boise.
