I would say run a small block chevy because:

-The small block chevy v8 is more reliable than the ford small block ( the ford 302 has paired cylinders too close together, being one of its downfalls)

    - GM and Toyota have been long time partners, begining in Toyota's early days as the inline 6 in the original Land Cruiser was Toyota's version of the engine GM gave them.

    - Ford thinks that they are better than Toyota, more reliable?? Ha thats a good one... Once a Ford, always a Ford..

my self i would never put a ford in a toyota but the advantage to putting the ford motor in there is you dont have to make clearence for the dizzy since its in the front either way i like the route your going:waytogo: so what type of bikes did you get

no big race bikes but I bought a 2005 crf70 for my little brother for 200 bucks and a 2005 crf100 for 600, both with titles and everything, I havent actually got them yet but ill have em friday.

Also if it werent reliable they wouldnt be used, they obviously have some sort of worth to them if they were put in cars and trucks for what 20 years ? I know its not going to last forever or have endless amounts of miles in it but whatever its a pretty solid motor.

And idk what you mean by ford thinks they are better then toyota ? maybe owners ? yeah for the most part ford and dodge owners are hot headed jerks but who cares.. theres at least one person for every make and model that thinks they own "the best" car or truck EVER. But when you say ford isnt better then toyota, I think your wrong.. Ford DOMINATES toyota in the truck department.. I dont think toyota will ever get it right when it comes to building a real truck, IMO the new Tundra is just another grocery getter just like yukons or expiditions meant to be driven by soccer moms... sorry guys rant off lol

I agree. American trucks will always be great work trucks and have what all gearheads love "torque" Toyota and Honda do great in the reliability, fuel economy, and for a great price. both Domestic and Foriegn has there pros and cons and always will, which is why there are different car companies. they all cant be the same otherwise there would only be one car company.

see that is the nice thing about a v8 for example you can drop 3000 grand on building a small block ford or chevy and easily get around 500 hp if done right and like on my hybrid i spent around 3000 grand on it and only have around like 150-170 hp so pretty much the bang for your buck is alot better off on a small block ford or chevy and fords are just as reliable as a chevy it all depends on how well you take care of your motor and its all personal preference like i said in my other post i still like the idea of the v8 in your toy make it way funner to drive cant wait to start seeing the progress
