we all busy. Im still working 6 days a week, sometimes 7. Almost have enough for a clutch for the truck. who wants to buy my stock rear end? Its just going to sit here. ill even help with delivery
So.... the worst thing possible happened... another front end re construction MUST happen to Ruby... my neighbor backed her suburban right into the driver side fender n bumper. tweaked the ****! outta my bracket, pushed my bumper over like 3 inches f-ed up my fender... luckily she barely missed my rim... so her insurance is gonna cover it. i hope they repaint the fenders to match the truck now too lol
sorry to hear jeremy! are they gunna cover it as a 4runner front end? if not maybe pocket the cash and buy it yourself?
idk. i have the 2wd bumper so that will b covered... but the fender is the only other thing to b replaced... i can lie n say its a 4wd n theyd have to use the 4wd fender since theyre the same as the 4runner
Wow, someone backed into my truck last weekend too. Drunk ass college student. Worse part is my truck was parked too. I was all sick. Ended up taxing the guy, buying a new fender and pocket some cash too. Hahahahaha
Sorry to hear that. Since its her insurance thats taking care of the bill, it shouldn't matter. You should be able to replace the parts that were on at the time. Look at it this way, you can get the OE fenders now.
Its your truck, what you say goes. If you tell them you want OE fenders, they have to get OE fenders. And don't let the insurance company low ball you. Its your truck, you can take it where ever you want to have the work done. MOST IMPORTANT: don't accept any check from the insurance company. That says to them you settling. Have them make a check to the shop that is doin the work, if you have a shop do the work (might as well, though, its not your money).
the way it worked in all three accidents my mustang was in (both by our insurance and the other peoples) is they use "used" oem parts. i personally don't mind since it's the same part i would pull from a junkyard and install myself. in every case, i've had the option for new parts as long as i payed the difference between the new and used part. and you can pick any shop you want. the first time my car needed a new quarter panel i took it to the dealer. the fit wasn't that great. the second time i took it to a owner operated shop and the fit and quality were outstanding!
im taking it to the guy that is gonna bag my truck when i get the ext cab... but i think ima have him quote it for stock fenders n stuff, ill get the money and ill jus supply 4wd OE fenders cuz my bumper was a stock 2wd also
well everythign was 2wd except my fenders. so ima have dude quote me for if he was supplying everything but im gonna supply the fenders myself n jus pocket the part i wuld spend ont he fenders
busy with school dude. it felt weird not bein on here but i was getting a lot more done lol been doing that, work n going out alot. finally gettin my tat tmw, ill post pics after i get home tmw but hey ima head out tonight... unfortunately i will NOT b drinking tonight damn tattoo lol
