What's up everyone! I just got a auto meter tachometer. I was wondering if anyone could give me step by step directions to install it in my truck I have a 93.

All I know is the ground and power wires. There is a green and white coming out. Also the small brown and orange wire must be connected in a certain way to configure for a 4 cylinder

    Any help will be appreciated..

i always thought you had to run the tach to the distributor to get the rpm reading

The distributer breaks the coil signal down for individual cylinders. If you hooked it up to the dist. you would get 1/4 the actual rpms. The coil sends the elect. signals to the the dist. so for acurate readings you want to tap into the coil.
