motor swap 22RE to 22R

    I swapped the motor in my 4x4 from 22re to the 22r out of my 2x4! everything works mint the power steering pump even bolted right on! but im having trouble finding where the vacuum hose from the brake booster goes on the motor! any tips???

    The brake booster hose goes to the back of the carb. its the biggest vaccum nipple on the carburetor. Why did you end up downgrading from efi to carb? Just curious

    couldnt find another 22RE in the area and then i got offered a 22r with 140000 km on it for free! good deal

    What year 22R? If it's an 85 and up you can still use the EFI system from your old motor...

    the brake booster line hooks up on the firewall side of the carb, on the wheel well side of the intake.

    if the fitting is not there, it could be in just about any location, most stock intakes have at least 3 holes that the fitting will fit into. really you just need to tap past the carb on the intake somewhere. the further away from the carb you get the better the vac assist gets.

    yeah i was thinking about putting a vacuum assist pump on my truck too, i was going to tee the line at the booster then tap the manifold some where is that right?
