Yea, I had almost the same truck I have now back in '95 (when bagged trucks didn't quite exist, yet) and never finished it. Back when trucks were an inch off the ground with no bags. So thats what I'm gonna do to this truck.
so low that when you change lanes you rip off the reflectors off the pavement....now thats faaaaaaaakin low
It's not the right bodystyle but I lowered my 78 about 7" all around. It will tuck the lip of a 17 on the front. Tucks a few inches of tire now. I don't have a computer with net but will post a picture later tonight. Unless somebody wants to. It's the mork thread in the old trucks.
attached are a pic of my old school 83 yota back in hawaii with 3in drop blocks for the rear, and adjusted torsion up front, sitting on stang wheels. Then there's a pic of my current 86 sr5 project with 3in blocks in the rear, and adjusted torsion up front. Still have to flip my ball joints and find some drop shocks, rims, bodywork, paint, and so on....
not mine but my roommates, it sucks having to look at this every day hahah i still rub it in i drove it before he did
For random comparison, what is the roof height on your guys trucks? Sd mainly since he is one of the lowest. I'm at 54" flat.
im currently at 55in, should be getting a lil lower when i get to flippin my bj's and gettin some nice shoes put on
i still need to lower my front. other than that, i think my suspension leveled out and my front end is about an inch higher up front. or so... w/e stupid fender lines
I am riding on 1" bumpstops in the rear with middle leaf pulled and three inch blocks until i install my notch and 4"blocks. Up front i flipped b/j cranked bars, next is to install smaller profile tires and get lower control arms and shocks. So im riding 4"front and 4"rear.
thanks i wish mine would have looked that good to start off. I getting it restored little at a time. Gotta do that saving a little money thing.
