I just got my 86 2wd from my grandparents on Aug 8, 2009. They had it for quite a few years and blew the engine up about 3 years ago. It has been sitting at our mechanics shop since then. I finally asked if I could have it for a project and they gladly handed over the title. This truck has 120K miles on it which is pretty low. It was garage kept so it has very little rust. I recently installed the replacement 22r and it sarted right up. I am working on th interior also. I put in some seats from a 2001-2 Eclipse. they fit pretty good and look real good too. I plan on lowering this thing, painting, rims, and trying to squeeze some more hp out of the 22r. Here's some pics. As it looked when the tow truck dropped it off and the engine after being istalled
When I had my 88 Toyota with that same engine the best performane mods I made were the Weber carburetor, header & Flowmaster exhaust.
