since its a projector it doesnt need to reflect ;)

but i would be worried about the beam pattern. with the "ebay special housing" i doubt its that great. if its just like a super bright lamp it will only light up for a couple hundred feet, but it will blind everything in range, like oncomming traffic n such.

hella makes a H4 version of a black light, looks way better imho. and i trust hella beam pattern, one of the best out there. price is about the same too.

regardless of projector or not the light will not be as bright as one with a chromed background.

i got my hella's through my local parts store. or you can order them online.

but i just got the basic H4 upgrades, look stock but work MUCH better.

    beckleyota-

no offence here dude, but that is just plain wrong.

a projector is just that, a projector. the light comes straight out of the diode, the small round bulb is the lense, the outer housing is just for fitment/protecting/looks. projector headlamps DO NOT rely on a reflective housing to increase brightness/focus or any other such nonsence.

if it was a H4 housing your statement might have a lil more merit, and the light is reflected then focused by the lense. but just because its dark doesnt mean it will reflect any less then a chrome looking material.

its kinda like saying the only shiny colored paint is silver. where its really all about the clear coat.

They suck i have a set here i put in my truck because i thought they looked cool... i would be better off using a candle to light the road... and 200 bucks is almost 10X what i paid on eBay for the same set... They might be better of u did the hid conversion with them but i am 90% sure that you would just blind incoming traffic and melt the housings they are CHEAP!!!! They would be fine if u didn't need to see @ night like a kid that only can drive during the day to go to school & work but besides that they are junk

ive run a few different ebay lights, and some of them are pretty cheapy. if it has a true glass lens and a fiberglass housing the heat of an HID should be okay but i dunno. black headlights is just silly. :D
