nope haven't touched it. i do drive it around in the dirt occasionally, but it's just not my thing. i'd sell it but before i can my wife wants to give it to her dad as a hunting truck. so i'm clingin to it.

The surface of the sun; Lake Elsinore. Gets as hot as Arizona, and yes, I've been there.

Yeah, my parents are over-protective, they think this site will be like MySpace with the predators or something. Everyone got a huge laugh about that at my expense months ago. Sucks not being able to afford anything, having to live with your parents sucks, but at least I don't have to pay for rent, groceries, or home insurance.

Okay. Sounds alright bernie, maybe you can buy another project car whenever its gone. Honestly, if I had the choice, I wouldn't have chosen a 4x4 Toyota to begin with. I really wanted an SW20 MR2, but I'm now hooked to my Sandshark. Can't even imagine not seeing it on the driveway when I get up in the morning. It's too fun for me to drive and fix to get rid of it.

Haha, with my truck, I'd stick out like a sore thumb. I'll see about it though.

I can't, everything hangs too low. Just below OE height with low profile bumpstops and bigger rims and tires. My dad's friend has a red '88 4x4 with 20's and large tires. Mine is going to be a little more low-pro than that (17's max with slightly bigger tires). I've always been more into sports cars and I could always use a truck, so I'm going to combine it into one tall package.

Yeah, my goal is to make mine different then the rest of the 4x4's out there. The crawler guys may get pissed, but it's the IFS model, so that's out anyway and watching the Subarus rally in the x-games psyched me out, hence my plan. My paint scheme is based off of an old Datsun 240Z, I'm even going to paint the area between both taillights black.

Swapping the frame of a 1st gen 4Runner to a 2WD's would do very nicely. some guys on here have done that and they look awesome! If my backup car, the 1995 Isuzu Rodeo V6 my grandma's driving was good enough, I'd try modding her like that, but my cousin nearly totalled it, so it doesn't run right.

I am also lowering the suspension clearance to make the ride a bit more comfortable. Either way, my grandfather got it with 30+" tires and cranked up torsion bars, making the ride very rough. Rather than cranking down and adding a step, grandpa went for cheap Kumhos that were utterly useless when I got my hands on it, but hey, I got a free 4x4!
