mines gonna be cut in half with a piano hinge going horizontal. its just gonna say nicedat because people are retarded and cant tell its a toyota. even from the back. and if you've seen a 78 tailgate...they billboard that word on there. haha. the hinge is because i have to go up steel driveways in both directions, so it will just move if it hits. which it almost does now. and im going lower.

You might want to think about just mounting the plate on a hinge mounted plate. Cutting a license plate in any state is a crime. I don't remember what the penalty is now but when I got nabbed 20 years ago the judge got me for an even grand. Not exactly like you are going under the radar with a super low truck.

its a good point. but the plate doesnt have room to push forward. maybe ill just let it scrape and bend it back after it happens. as far as height related things, i never have any issues. just speeding stuff.

You're lucky. Around here they almost send out swat for a vehicle they consider "too low". On a real low 87 Toy I had for a while I mounted the plate at about a 30 degree angle. Never had a cop say anything about it and it kept it from scraping.

I'd actually like to mount it a little higher up in the factory area. But they tucked it way in. So ill probably move it up and out. This truck is pretty effin low. LOL.
