I was wondering if anyone has a subscription to em.
    How does it work exactly
is it a one time fee?
like you get what you pay for
    for ex;
    24 for $30
    12 for $18
Or is it like you pay once then out of nowhere they take out
5bucks every month and the money you pay was a sign up fee to get the magazines deliver'd to your house
    Hope im making sense.

Just send in a subscription card thats in the magazine with your name & info on it to minitruckin. They will send you a bill then you pay it with a credit card
or money order. Im looking at a subscription card now & you get the following...

    12 issues for $24.95
    24 issues for $34.95

    so lets say
you decide to go with the 24 issues for $30
and after they send you the 24,
do they just stop until you pay again?

i believe they would send you a renewal before your susbscibtion was up, so you wouldn't miss an issue.

honestly......... i found subs to be unefficient. usually the magazine stands had the issues before i got em in the mail. not to mention there are some issues that really arent that great or have nothing of real interest to me (when they show off a bunch of dimes anyways)

so i say F" the subscription and just find a reliable place that carries it. :waytogo:

oh........ also not sure if MT mag does this but, subscription magazines sometimes are "shorted out" on special features of the actual "full length" magazine due to the "savings". i found this out one day with my petersen's magazine and they explained that since i pay less for the magazine, i get less features. news stands carry the "full length" magazines and thats why you pay more at the news stand. thats a real s h i t t y deal right there

when they told me that, i demanded they terminate my subscription and refund my money as i was "uninformed" of what i was really getting. they begged and pleaded for me to reconsider but i demanded a refund or threatened to file a lawsuit as well as publicly make people aware of this and risk a class action type lawsuit. they gave me a full refund and let me have the rest of my subscription for free

With MT I'm not sure about the "shortened" part of it, but I have seen that some covers are different with subscription and the newstand versions. Not so much the cover truck, but the colors and writing.

Superstreet did that stuff all the time... you wouldn't get the calenders and other assorted goods that were on the newstands

Yeah, Petersons has some kinda lame marketing strategies. Like I remember once they sent me a video I didn't ask for and expected me to pay a bill they later sent me for it... If something comes in my mail that I didn't order it better be free, dammit... I was aware of the shorted subscription versions though. I think they printed your letter in the mag. That or someone else was pissed about the same thing and wrote in.

i believe the only difference between newstand and subscibtion is the cover art. and the feb. issue doesn't have the calender with the subscibtion.

yea, not sure if they printed my letter or not but, they pulled the same scam on me too about renewing my subscription and expecting me to pay. they kept sending me renewal notices through my email and in the mail. i responded to their email saying that i did not want their magazine any longer and to stop sending me offers to do so. i told them if they did not cease to do so i would follow with legal action against harrasment.

since then, ive yet to find any email from them in my inbox again.
