Yep Wednesday we got snow in Georgia for the first time in forever and what happens? The roads get icy and I go off a 10 foot embankment right into a Camaro that was already down there flipped on it's side. I was coming home from picking up some of the parts that I ordered from The Bag Shack and were for some reason shipped to my grandmothers house! So now I've got $2000 in parts and a ****ed up truck to put them on. Something told me that my truck would be messed up before I got to put them on. So here's the outcome Well for some reason I can only upload some small pictures so I'm just gonna give you a link to my myspace, tell me what you think.http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=11291104&albumId=1141990

ive done a write up here

im on my 3rd cab on my wheeler

now in the first one there was no hope of getting doors or windows back on.
the second one i got the doors to fit but the arch in the roof line made it impossible to get a windshield in.

so i would think that as long as you still have a windshield or are able to reinstall one the rest of the cab is salvageable.
first time i swapped cabs took me 2 weekends, best advice i can give is THOROUGHLY plan your cab movements, it gets a bit tricky.

btw that sucks and i feel your pain:(

man sorry to here about that.....I know how bad these trucks are in snow but that's why mine sits all winter but obviously the . Anyways it does look repairable but it's probally cheaper/better to buy a new one and swap everything over.

I highly doubt it would be cheaper to buy another one. I know it would be a bigger pain in the ass than just doing the body work. I bought a stud welder yesterday so I can pull out the dents as best as I can, and one of my buddies is gonna spread the body filler. There are a few gashes in the metal that I'm gonna try to straighten out and weld up.I'm sure I'll be taking alot of pictures so I'll try to post them up on here again..

Just judging by the one pic it looks like you need: a cab, a door, bed side, front facia, wheel, paint all around and new glass all around. Not saying it can't be done on the cheap with a bunch of bondo but personally I wouldn't go that route because I've seen what happens. If your drivetrain is still good you can probally find a decent body/frame for about a thousand bucks. Good luck!

I bought a brand new hood, fender, bumper, and lower valence today for $360, Thats brand new stuff. I'm getting a used door tomorrow for $100 and the glass for $45. And I've got a stud welder to pull the dents out and ****. My wheels are fine, they're just got dirt on them. the frame is fine. if anyone has a 4wd clear corner lens for the passenger side they wanna sell, let me know, lol.

well I finally got the rest of my parts today. I plan on putting some of them on tomorrow. kinda debating on putting on the fenders tomorrow. I might start bagging it tomorrow and it will probably be easier to do with the fenders off. I'll take pictures. But I still haven't been able to figure out how to put them up on here. Keeps saying file size to big, etc. I tried the facebook thing and couldn't get it to work so I dunno? lol..:D

ok, for some reason I comprehended something wrong. I was supposed to use photobucket instead of facebook so I just got done trying that out. lol. Of course I had my head up my ass. so maybe I figured it out this time and it will work. I done some work on the truck today. pretty much took off the parts that were messed up and started using the stud welder and pulling out some of the dents that I could. But unfornutally I left the camera at the shop so it will have to be tomorrow before I can upload the pictures from today. but incase some of you didn't go to my myspace and look at the pictures I'm gonna try to post them up on here again. So maybe this time it will work??:D
