Hey everyone, hows it going? My name is Ryan Im 21 and I live up here in Idaho. I currently own a 95 Astro with a 6/5 drop and a bagged 90 Toyota Standard Cab.
Welcome to TM! That truck looks great. specs on it? And the slammed astro isnt half bad even tho i've never been a fan haha. I know a guy with one on bags its funny.
Its a nice running truck. 22r 4 Speed with 178000 miles. I bought it from my good friend when he moved to Texas, he didnt really want it to go to someone he didnt know. The 4Link is trash so I got a Reversed Cantilever 4Link sitting in my room thats gonna go on really soon. Its all 3/8's line FBSS. The orginal Vinyl bench seat is gone and 2 EG Civic seats took its place, other then that the rest of the interior is stock. It needs some work, but its getting there.
dig the astro, ive kinda always wanted to bag a astro or safari ever sense i saw a orange one in minitruckin around 1997ish
Haha, I probably have that issue to. Just a couple weeks ago, a friend of mine gave me his last 12 years of Truckin and MiniTruckin. Man some of the stuff in there is crazy.
Welcome ! Welcome to Toyota minis ! Awesome looking rides ! Love the fact that someone is closer to me as well. Im about an hour outta Missoula, Mt ! Welcome, and cant wait to join you in the forums ! http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2619563 L o w N l o u d
Well first off I plan on working out the bugs in my bag setup. I already have a new 4Link, the notch needs to be redone (its not bad, its strong and works fine, but needs to look a little bit cleaner), the bump stops in the front need cut out so I stop going through bags (why the people who bagged it didnt do it in the first place, I dont know), the airlines need redone and I plan on upgraded from 3/8's to 1/2inch. I also plan on getting body work done and eventually paint. My bed on it right now is kind of trashed, but I got a buddy in town with a Toyota my body style that has a decent bed with Caddy lights. He told me he would sell me that. The cab is in pretty good shape, couple dents on the doors, but thats pretty much it. Almost done with the 4Runner conversion. As far as paint Im not sure what I want to do yet. Im debating between some sort of red or blue. Im also not sure what im gonna do with the interior, leave it for now because its already pretty clean. Not quite sure what I want to do for rims yet. I plan on keeping the 22R, its clean and simple. I plan on building that up a little bit.
Nice truck i like the 4Runner conversion. Its nice to see that someone in idaho like lowered other than me. What part of idaho do you live in?
Well since the last time I posted anything on this thread the whole rear frame section has been redone. The friend that was selling his bed ended up keeping it in the end, and I went all the way to Portland and picked up a bed in awesome shape for 230 bucks. As far as the front end, turns out those after market fenders are WAY off from stock, so I might just make a Spokane trip tomorrow to get some new ones, I also plan on putting the valance back on tomorrow to. Here some pictures of the truck before. Heres the old brackets.
Heres some during and after pictures... The old notch, or whats left of it. Dont mind the gas tank bungee cord deal there...a fuel cell will come in time.
Heres the truck as of now... Now I need to get the front to lay.. I got bored at work, lol. Sorry for the cell phone pics, but here it is fully lifted. It can get more in the back, but the shocks are actually restricting it from going any higher right now.
Awesome updates man, Im right behind you, Ill be finished up by thursday, everythings on, just paintN' it all up and finishwork. Do you got the drop spindles on front? Totally dig all the updated pictures & Cando reverse4 & the rounded notches & cant wait for that cruise . . .
No spindles, besides the bag factor everything in the front is stock. I do need to get new valves, because mine dont always work like there suppose to. All in good time though. Yea I cant wait to see yours.
