In order to get the rear 4-runner bumpers to fit like factory then youll have to
modify/cut/remove the rear quarter panels & factory roll pan-(if it has one) from the truck!! I was thinking about doing that mod myself at one time until I found that out lol! In the first pic youll see how they removed the bumper & in the second youll see what it looks like with the rear bumper removed & the panels not extended. I believe that Seth has a fellow club member with a 4-runner so he can give you some info on this mod as well. Hope this helps!

i think on the pick up it would look better to shorten it to the length of the bed and use it as part of the roll pan.

i am trying to figure somethng out because the roll pan i have is hacked bad there is an 1in of body filler in the roll pan the. the entire tailgate is covered in bodyfiller atleast 1/4 in thick. i hate ****ing hack jobs! so i want to do something even more different with the truck and put a bumper on it because trucks laying bumpers is just sick

Sorry guys, I'm not a fan. It doesn't look clean at all. I mean, they did a good job, but the lines just aren't there.

I like how it looks...espically when the truck is laid out on the ground. The truck above is one of my old school favs. Ive got that same tailgate unit/skin that Im planning to install on my truck. I may do the whole 4-runner swap on the rear as well, but Ill use the chrome bumper if I do. Steve over at CanDo Specialties is an expert on that conversion cause hes done it on several of his trucks.

That truck was a huge inspiration for me. That was right around the time I was showing my '94.

I like the license plate..."IMPOOR" that is how I feel at the moment lately. :p
Laying a chrome bumper to the ground, is indeed smoking awesome just for the shear contrast it shows when laying on the ground.
