the "family friend" that did all the body work on my 66 mustang was only open at night.... every time i was there random people would stop by for a few minutes. about a week after i got my car back he got pulled over with his mobile meth lab in the trunk... and the charges were dropped when he claimed that he was a painter, and they were "paint supplies"! unfortunately for him a month or so later when he was stopped again the excuse didn't work. so back to prison for another 5 years (he had done 8 years, then got out for a year which is when my car was done). now i'm always wondering when i see little body/mechanical shops that work odd hours.

Its a weird setup because he has some VERY nice cars and then a couple of hulks. I've only ever seen other mexican guys there. It has no sign or anything. The body shop next door is pretty sure its a car club because about once a week it gets slammed with people, here is the google maps Street View albiet a few years old, but thats what it looks like nightly, and weekends I have to park down the street and walk to it (rotate the view due East, I almost forgot!).

Its a toss up right now though. Ive been there to see it run and move but the battery has since kicked the bucket. If I end up going back there is no way Im paying close to his price or my offer for a car I have to jump to get off the lot. He's suposed to be getting it inspected (no sticker is a hefty fine even if you are emmissions exempt) but no sticker, no dinero because it would be the inspection ticket AND an insurance ticket and the Domestic Fascist Party wants their money no matter what. And if t doesent have a sticker I'll probably give him a run for his legal know and throw a fus about the emissons stuff disconnected.

But we'll see, I have some other bills to pay off first before I worry about shelling out some cash.

OH and I think the eyelids are kinda neat looking, it sort of follows with the aggressive foreward look of the hood IMHO. But I'm just sayin'

    UPDATE:
So I called This Guy off the Waco CL but he sold it last week, but he had a buddy lookng to sell his '81, so he should be giving me a call... wel shal see

It doesn't take anything to get an inspection sticker bro... slip the guy an extra 20 and boom... your 'legal'...

That can work for and against you. Seems like a decent deal though, the rust scares me. I have a 71 with less rust than that.

Those head light covers come from the Lowrider scene IMO, and much like the BMW emblem on the dash, they probably both shouldn't be there.
