the bed on my truck is missing the bottom rear half from the bodyline down. the rest of the bed is higly fixable. is anyone stamping bedsides or patchpanels. i fond a bedside for 120 but i have no way of getting it home to wv. if i could have something shipped it would be alot more convient.
they are "repairable"..... you just have to cut the bed at a seam to install the new bedside. there ARE places that deliver... however, considering the cost of a bedside panel and shipping costs.. you are likely better off finding a bed off another truck to replace it instead. then, all you would have to do is take your bed off, drive to the place where your new bed is at, have a buddy come with you to help place it onto the truck, bolt it down, and drive home.
i cant drive thr truck because i cant get a inspectionsticker. i cant get an inspectionsticker because the bed is a rust pile
i also live in tennessee and i have never heard of needing an inspection sticker. is this something new, or something only in nashville? i live in the knoxville area and i haven't had to get any inspection stickers for anything i own.
im from wv im goin to school at nadc. if i can get it legal i will have no problem getting the bed fixed in class. i go home the weak of the 4th so ill be able to fix the valves and try to get it legal.
a good used bed would be the best way to go especially for your model year. Try having my/our model year and finding beds, you can find em, but always when the cash is low. The other way you could go is with fiberglass, cost is the issue but no more rust, at least not there . . .
