he got it about a month ago, it's slowly been losing features, and now it's dead..... would have been worse but the casing is aluminum so he had a hard time.

 

if you had to tweak the carb to get it to run home i would suspect the vac lines being wrong.


sounds like a typical basket case

owner had a good car
then started "fixing it"
now it doesnt work



any time a PO tells me they did something, i take it apart and check.


btw what did you do to the carb to get it home?

 

i tweaked the air fuel mixture. it also helped when i got it warm. but it's still idling too high, so i need to do a little investigating with Dr. Weber.

 

the digi camera is garbage now, so i took a few phone pixxx...

my favorite part is the license plate.

i will say after seeing pete's (not forgotten) truck, i'm really wanting to bad!!!! but thats what the hilux is for. i actually planned on buying this truck for the motor and tranny. planned on putting them in the hilux. but since it's in decent shape i'm gunna drive her.

I might end up staying in it until i get a new bracket... i admit that bracket is a total bitch.



I'm not sure if the adjuster pulley for the A/C is part of the bracket, so we'll see when that gets fixed.
