went to my picknpull today. found a few good things.

i found a 20r in a 75 celica (motor was locked up) so i took the valve cover. also took the door handles. and i found a grant steering wheel for $8 so i had to have it.



complete porcshe motor anyone? $78 complete


and i found this incredibly complete 76/77 celica. motor and tranny are gone but the rest is there. looks like an older restoration.

 

What truck ya gonna put the Grant wheel in?

I used to have a white Celica just like that, but a GT

 

probably the hilux. thinking about putting the handles as well. the celica was a gt (or at least the grille was)

 

it doesn't have a GT badge on the back, so I assumed....

 

Sweet scores! That grant wheel sells for over a hundred bucks! It looks like it is in good shape too. Lucky find.

also found two 84-88 trucks with the solid rear window if anyones lookin.

 

Were these extracab trucks?

 

no single cabs. r they different in the 84-88?

 

Yup they are about 1.5" taller.

 

i'll keep an eye open for the extended cabs. all they had were single cabs and one 4runner.

 

Junk yards make me depressed lol sweet finds though.

 

found a 77 hilux!! first one of the 73-78 body i've seen in a yard. it was clean!

i bought some random stuff...

where is this junkyard at. the ones in phoenix dont have alot of stuff like they used too n seems like alot have closed up shop.

 

i go to the pick n pull in chandler. 56th st. and chandler blvd.

they don't really have much for yotas. there was the 77, an 86 2x4, and an 88 4runner. thats pretty much it... unless you're like me and buy random crap from all kinds of cars to use on your truck! lol


i stay away from the yards down around 35th ave and broadway. they seem to charge a lot!! i asked for the lower half of an s-10 fan shroud and was quoted $50, i went to chevy and bought it new for $25.
