Has anyone on here shaved their body lines? I'm thinking about doing mine I'm just wandering if it's easier to just weld filler plates in or use a dent puller to pull them out. I don't wanna pack them with body filler because it cracks.

i would use filler plates. pulling them out is not a good idea because the are caved in lines and if you tried to pull them out there would to too much metal to lay flat, you would never get it smooth. the only way it would work if you pulled them out would be it you cut out a small strip in side the body line and then banged them out to meet each other smoothly.

True, I didn't think about that. I'll most likely use filler plates because if I just pack it with Bondo it will just crack and fall out from vibration.

ya that would be way to much filler, and it would crack out for sure

    i concur...

had a celica a while back that somebody had filled the body lines, in summer the crack was barely noticeable and in winter it looked like it was going to fall out. i didnt do the work and had no idea how old it was but id guess it was 5-10yrs.

and i saved one of the fenders off that car and it weighs 3.5lbs more than a stock one without the filler
