    78 toyota longbed 5speed 20R
    I was changing the oil on my 84' yesterday when i noticed some fresh oil. Its leaking behind the water pump where the ______ connects to the motor. The motor and then the part that idk what its call is connected to the water pump. Any help on what this UFO part is called?

    wash the motor there and make sure its coming from the timing cover and not the head. real common to leak at the very front of the block where the bulge is on the pass side at the headgasket. its the high pressure line up to the head.


    you can try tightening the timing cover bolts (12mm or bigger) or re-torquing the head.
