I’m looking for advice on maintaining and replacing windshields. Recently, I noticed small chips and cracks on my car’s windshield, and I’m unsure whether they require immediate repair or if I can wait.

I’d also like to know the pros and cons of DIY repair kits versus professional service.

Additionally, how often should windshields be inspected for safety, and if it’s tempting to ignore a chipped windshield, are there specific brands or types of glass that last longer or resist damage better?

Any tips for preventing scratches, cracks, or fogging would be really helpful.
