ok so i just bought a project truck pretty much but its got a good base all it really needs is a new fender and repainted and some interior work but...


i was wondering what performance stuff i should do to the engine besides 20R head,Weber carb,headers so im a lil new to the mini trucks so if you guys could help me out thad be great

so if im wrong please tell me or help me out on what i should do also im looking for a high output alternator but dont know where to get one and if anyone knows of a good stereo set up i have 2 bucket seats in the truck thanks!

 

u have a 22r made after 1984, you cannot do a 20r head swap

as for a carb, go on ebay get a weber 34/34 or for all out haul ass purposes a 38/38

ok yeah about the 20R head thats what i thought someone was tryin to tell me i could lol well thanks yea its got headers on it right now with a magna flow exhaust

 

yah fyi for future ref. anything for a 22r and 22re before 1985 wont interchange with the newer LASRE block (85-95) some stuff will but the majority wont

 

there are people that run the pre 85 20r heads on the lazer blocks u have to mill the head down and use a adjustable cam gear though.. but it is possible.. was thinking about doing it myself but couldn't come up with the funds
