    Hey folks,

Just installed some belltech 3" drop leafs in my 90 pickup. Suspension can go up but not down anymore if im bouncing on the back bumper. Did I install the bolts too tight or is this common? Can I add a leaf to this pack to get less drop and more bounce?

    Thanks

Added the smallest leaf in the oem pack to the belltech leafs and it raised it up an inch and gave me some travel. Road tested and all good now.

That's useful info. I wonder if you just needed to drive it in order to soften the leafs...

Just for kicks, what was the part number on the leafs.. many people have trouble with getting the right ones.

They were the 5978 ones, saw that # on many websites. The leaf sat straight instead of being arched and wouldnt bend unpards so the suspension couldnt move. It made more like a 4" drop and adding the lil toyo leaf in the bottom gave it some arch and only a 2" drop. Still pretty bumpy but driveable and the truck sits level now. 1" fender gap all around for now anyways. Ill try to shoehorn those 17x9" wheels one of these days
