Hey guys I have bought some parts from a 1994 ln85. G52 box, driveshaft, shifter, pedal assembly, master and fluid line. I’m confident in doing the swap but what’s the best way to go about tricking the ecu into thinking it’s always in park or neutral so I can start it? Cheers

Why would you want to trick the ECU of being in neutral? Use the clutch switch. If you have the proper pedal assy. there should be a safety switch in the pedal assy.. If the switch is missing there should be a place to mount one.

Not sure about it, but if there is a neutral wire going to the ECU, to let it know the engine is in start mode, it would change the fuel and timing maps to facilitate starting the engine. Typically that would entail RETARDING the ignition timing and richening the fuel. Since the 22RE has a Cold Start circuit that most likely wouldn't be applicable here, but warm starts still do require a tad bit of enrichment. Might not do anything either.

Could be a bad idea without knowing how it would affect normal operating conditions.

I would look into using the clutch safety switch to have that "neutral" circuit passified, for now anyway. Ultimately plan to get the proper ECU.

Another option is a momentary on switch in the dash to take the place of the neutral switch.

I’ve heard of people doing the momentary switch, but anyway it turns out that it was built with a g52 not sure why it was changed to auto but it should be easy enough to change back

    The G52 was probably free.

    update:
The swap is completed, it’s a 22r carbureted so I’ve splined the wires where the auto box would signal that it is in park and it is running well
