Hi, me and my son are putting a 22re from a 90 pickup into his 74 pickup....we have wire harness ran through firewall and have the computer mounted....now we have no idea what wires need to be hooked up to keyed power, and what needs constant 12v....my other son did this swap but used a 92 engine and wiring....the wiring is different between the 2 years so cant figure out how to wire it....please help if you can....we are lost at this point....also, not sure what wires go where from the alternator?

 

Toyota dealers have a Electrical Diagram book for different years, I have one for 84-89 covers 2wd & Forerunners

I know you're asking for the newer harness diagram but Here is the diagram for a 72, shouldnt be much different from the 74. Maybe it can help when you get the newer pickup diagram

First thing I would say is to use the fuse, and relay box that was in the '92.
