    1976+ needs to be smogged in CA. This is why I bought a ‘75, no smogging necessary

    What about the historic car smog exemption? Won't the truck qualify since it's 40+yrs?

    The 1975 cutoff is considered the historic car exemption. Damn you, Arnie...

    You can register as a historic vehicle but you have to continue to follow the smog laws. There are also a lot of other restrictions that go along with a historic vehicle registration
