Hello all, im so glad ive found this forum. i love forums hope gonna contribute as well as learn about this toyota minis. Ive recently bought my first hilux 1979 2wd RN30, its mainly stock but im planning on doing a swap, changing the color with the proper job and lower it later. What are your recomendations? Im all ears. Brakes? Springs? Motor recomended? Any thougt would be highly apreciated. Best regards Rafafifa
I was thinking that might be cool to have a sort of drift car of my own... im gathering experiences first to decide which way to folow.
Don't drift this truck. A car or something with better weight distribution would be best for a drift build. You should 1) restore it! 2) realiable street beast 3) pro street drag truck! Hahah my opinion.
ive heard you all and im going for option B Its gonna be a realiable street sort of beast. im not aiming to have the fastest truck or anything. just something i can rely on cruising to the beach and hurrying up if i need to poop haha. im going either on a beams or 1jz motor full brake swap lowering her a bit and looking for maybe a color change. Probably new wheels too because im riding 14" and the disc im putting gonna be 15" haha Cherrs.
Yes it was repainted for sure but it tried to match the original color. (6C5) (It didnt hahah this is much brighter in my opinion) The wood bed looks nice but its crap im planing on re doing it with 3mm aluminium.
Wood is good for looks and super light duty op.. going to aluminum, will be better load capacity and better serviceable since you can just weld to repair.
