I believe the R family engines have the same bolt pattern for the bell housing. Issue may be the rear mount.

Might work with an adapter plate, but I woulldn't recommend it. T50 has great ratios, but it's a bit on the weak side. Best bet is a W5X. Celica, Supra, Cressida, Corona, Pickup. Plenty out there.
Sounds like a trip to the local Pick Your Part is in order. Great place to do research. Take a tape measure. Measure your trans from face of bell housing to rear mount and shifter base and crawl under a few cars and trucks to make comparisons.

Thanks for the reply also hearing a 22r 5spd will bolt right . Not sure how true that is either . W58 etc are super rare here in Florida. And if found people want a arm leg etc.

Have to ask, What trans are you starting with? 4 speed is a bit vague.

If the case is aluminum it is likely a W40 or W42. In which case the most you might have to do is redrill the rear mount holes in the crossmember and/or make a plate that bolts to the trans mount and frame. Not sure about a G trans though, prbably the same.

I did the W50 swap on my 20R and all I had to do was modify the transmission mount. I went a little overboard but you could easily modify it to accept the 5 spd. I had the L42?W42? Whatever 4 spd was found in the 77 pickup.
