Just joined this group hoping to find a way to unlock a security code on my radio, battery died and old owner not remembering the code. Looked in all obvious places. 1993 T100 SR5 Bought it 1-1/2 ago with 97,000 km. Only thing I don’t like is it has a 4:88 rear end so it burns quite a bit of gas for a 3L Looks like a great forum, I will have to do some reading.
I worked for a Toyota dealership in the mid 90s, the radio codes were stored on a computer with about 20 CD ROMs attached, you had to input the VIN to get the number. I doubt that they would of kept the system. From memory you get 3 guesses then it locks you out for a week or so. you could try this https://radio-code.com/ToyotaPayPageradiocode.htm
It gives you 10 chances and then locks up and screen reads “help” not sure I have any other choice now than to replace it
I really feel like it was just a test run at a full size truck which looking at it is more of a mid size
It is 2021, the T100 now is essentially a minitruck compqred to the overblown luxury vehicles they market as trucks these days.
I always thought it was a midsize truck. Ever since they were running in Baja against F150s, Silverados and Hummers, they looks small in comparison, but man were they victorious! The minis shined in stadium truck racing... If any of you haven't seen footage of the 4th gen and 5th gen trucks kickin' azz definitely put it on your to-do list.
I've been waiting years to mess with the iForce v8s.. and with the T100 as a base, that's gota be kick as truck..
All I know is my little truck can hold an 4’x8’ sheet of plywood, and most of these big new trucks only have a 6.5’ box.
That was the "big deal" of the T100. First Japanese pickup that could hold a 4x8 sheet flat in the bed. So, the next round of criticism by the big three was, not enough power, no V8.
Good base tho. Solid as hell. The 3vze could be made reliable with proper maintenance and modern updrages. I would 1uz my mini, but a T100.. needs that 3uz
1uzfe is an all aluminium quad cam 4.0 liter V8 produced from early 90s that came in Lexus LS/SC400(260-290hp). The 3urfe is the 5.7 liter aluminium iForce quad cam V8 that comes in the 2007+ tundra with a decent 380+ hp.
