Filled the mirror mounting holes on the doors before putting back the door panels and the rest of the interior. Used the air brush from Harbor Freight and some mustard as mask to make it look like paint is peeling. I figure it'll be easier to blend with the rest of the doors. We shall see!

Originally, I wanted to repaint the whole truck, but now I'm leaning toward doing a little bit of fauxtina to tie it into existing patina and matte clear the whole truck. It'd be a lot easier and more flexible cos I suck at paint and body :).. Also want to keep the artwork on the tail gate that was done by the previous owner. It started growing on me.

Great execution on the interior! I think my one of my favorites has to be the 'step' style center console that looks to double as a gun safe! Hahaha those seats look solid too! :applause:

    Thanks man!

Hahaha I love that patina on your truck. Nice build by the way!

Thanks! That center console is most commonly used on jeeps and 4x4s. I'm just gonna keep some tools in there.

The paint came out a bit lighter than the original. Gonna have to figure out a way to blend it. Will circle back at a later time. For now, I just want to fill the holes on the doors so I can finish up with the interior. Also secured the front bumper that I found on Craigslist a few months back.

Gonna take a little break from working on the truck and start ordering parts for the rear suspension. Right now, I have no suspension as it's sitting on the bump stops. The lowering blocks look kinda scetchy too so I'll start with ordering the Ebay blocks.

Damn, either I'm going blind or a can't tell the color difference.. lol.

On a different note, those wheels, :waytogo: one of my favorite all time wheels are very similar.. Firebird GTA mesh from 82-92! As for suspension have you tried taking off the top block? I'm currently researching sumo springs! It's totally different approach.

If you want to save a little cash in the mean time just leave the 3" block, throw away the 2" block and pull the middle leaf and remove bumpstop. That will get you about the same drop with less sketchiness and axle wrap and you can regain some travel.

Yeah, hard to tell that paint from the pictures, but definitely noticeable in person!

Thanks, I’ll experiment with removing the blocks and middle leaf first. Feel like I’d have to get something beefier eventually. The ones on there seem like they’ll crack easily.

So I've removed the 2" blocks, but considering to order 4" blocks instead of pulling the middle leaf.

    Thoughts?!

Personal it being static I think the hight its at now is good and functional. It's pretty much flush so most people won't knock it.

IF you plan to go lower, I think that blocks are waaay better than removing a leaf. Heck, I would be more likely to stack blocks again than remove a leaf.

I feel like it’s not level. Looks lifted in the rear. Need to lift the front or lower the back.

Throw some tools in the back and get the weight to level it lol. I think the rake is not bad.
