Just about to install the new shocks for the front suspension. Can anyone verify the order of the washers, and bushings?

I'm assuming there is a washer/bushing that goes on the shock itself before inserting it onto the frame. With the remaining parts I would sandwich the bushing in between the washers. Just curious which washer I use, and if I need two up top?

Not sure why there are 3 bushings... Mine is washer (cup side up), bushing, shock mount, bushing, washer (cup side down), then the two nuts to lock everything down.
Were there no instructions with the shocks? they usually have some recommendations on how tight to squeeze down on those bushings with the top nut.

The hole on the bottom washer looks much bigger than the other two. Does it fit over the shock mount and go all the way to the shock body? If so, I'm guessing that's a washer for a shaft-mounted bumpstop or rubber boot?

Looks like large hole washer first will sit on the shaft tab, then a rubber bushing, then slide the shock though the mount hole, than one of the other washers, then the other rubber bushing ,than the last washer, follow wth the two nuts.

I believe the bottom bushing usually gets sandwiched with washers

KYB usually includes washers and parts for different applications. Best bet is to use the supplied parts that match your original shocks. Leftovers in this case are not a bad thing.

I couldn't find a diagram in my piles of truck manuals, but I did snap you a picture of how mine is installed, hope this helps.

Thanks guys. I figured they might have included more parts than was necessary, but I wanted to double check. I set it up like Justin did in his photo, but I used two washers for the top bushing. Come to think of it that bottom washer probably wasn't needed.
