I bought this truck (Walnut Brown) just over a year ago and have been having so much fun driving and wrenching on it. What a little beast. I drive it daily and it really does stand up to anything. Renovating our house has got my wife and I loading this thing full regularly. I really love the way the truck sits when its packed down. Anyway I have been watching and getting lots of good advice from this site and finally decided to join. So, thanks to you all for keeping this forum going for so long. It has certainly helped me keep this ol truck on the road still.
Heres a couple pictures. The first is of the dream team, here at the house

Welcome! Truck looks like an excellent survivor!
A set of dog dishes would complement your wheels nicely.

Thanks. I have definitely been thinking about dog dishes, but I have 14" rims all the way around. To my understanding these trucks came with 15s. Is that right? Dolphins and Chinooks may have had 14s in the rear if I remember from my research. anyway do the dog dishes fit the 14s I have.. idk? The PO gave me 3 hubcaps that do fit the rims though. Does anyone know what these hubcaps came off of or where i may be able to track down a fourth?

That's really close to the jdm hub cab's but not 100 percent sure. Yours are different from these. Not even sure if these are really hilux hub caps. 14's on mine. Stock wheels. Screenshot_20200414-182804_eBay.jpg

Looking into it more you probably do have the jdm caps. Yours look more like the ones from the brochure then the ones I posted. Screenshot_20200414-183404_Chrome.jpg

Yeah! That's immediately what I thought too. Been looking through that brochure too much LOL!

@Andrew Driscoll , my 1973 came stock with 14's and I have 14's from a 1976 Chinook installed currently. My OG wheels didnt fit after swapping to front disc.

Damn no one has really mentioned that from what I've read on the swap. Glad I didn't do the conversion. I have no intrest in changing wheels anytime soon. The tires had no miles on them when I started to work on it again. Would of been pissed.

Yup, the clearance is only off by 2 or 3mm, it could have been solved with a dremel or spacers. But I had some 76' stock wheels from a donor Chinook I acquired. Still able to rock the dog dishes.

Thanks for the replies I didn’t know there were JDM differences. Looks like I have some pictures to find now. I’ve been thinking about front fender mirrors like that but didn’t know there was actually a set put on the truck in Japan. :)

No problem. I'm not sure if the caps were just a jdm thing. The mirrors were common on older jdm cars because of narrow streets I've heard. Most cars putting them on the fender sucks them in. So you not constantly getting your mirror knocked off.
