I was heavily involved in the mini-truck scene in the mid 80's through mid 90's. As I got older and had kids the mini truck thing just really wasn't working out anymore, needed more room. Have built a few hot rods in the last 30 years but have always longed for another mini truck.

Built a '85 Nissan 720 with my son when he was 15 (now 19) but needed my own.

Just picked up a 1985 Toyota Extra Cab 2WD SR5. Pretty nice shape inside and out but it pushed a rod through the block. Probably going to get a 2RZ and turbo this summer.

Static drop, Lexus wheels, body and paint, stereo, notch the back, etc. Nothing super radical.

The 20" wheels pictured are staying with the owner, I'll either run 17" Lexus wheels or 18" BMW 135i wheels (staggered).

Like most car guys I grab deals when I find them. Found both sets of wheels at yard sales (among many other sets amd other parts).

I'm really diggin' the BMW wheels at the moment. Since they're in thebgsrage already I'll probably swap them back and forth.

Got to get it running first and already have a line on a 2RZ. I'll post a build thread once I have something to show.

Thank you. Yep, they're a 5x120 for sure. I'll have to run adapters to use them.
