Now that I've made it out to a major show I figured I'd expose it to the world. As much as I loved the paint it was time for a makeover. What you are looking at is a 93 Toyota pickup with an 01-04 front & a 95-04 rear with some 01-04 red/clears. Let me know what you think. It's still in the rough stages but the main concept is there. 1st pic is one of the last pics before the teardown
Thats crazy! In a good way tho. How it is in the 1st pic, did you build it? Cause there used to be one here very similar to that years ago.
Here is a link to some more pics since i've owned it. http://www.streetsource.com/ViewOwnerProfile.aspx?ProfileID=22588 It has always been a Nor Cal, Santa Rosa truck. I got it in late 2003 after my Volvo got totalled. Before me a buddy of mine owned it who actually started "Characters" way back in like 1995 or so. Thanks for all the compliments. It has been a long time coming, started buying parts about 1.5 yrs ago. Any time i could find a good deal on a part I'd snag it up. Hopefully by the end of the show season I'll have all the body work completed.
To be honest with you I have no idea & I'm pretty sure they have been out of production for many years. They were on the truck when I got it but i'll ask my buddy if he remembers where he bought them. I can remember them being on the truck since as far back as 98-99?
yea lmk please? its either find a set of mirrors tht fit or build some custom ones but idk how i would cut the mirrors off one n plant them to the mounting base of another... bondo? lol
God, I thought I'd seen it all... I never thought you could fit a Tacoma front end on a mini truck. Looks killer.
I knew that, they're still called Hilux like ours around the globe. I've just never seen one the front end of a Tacoma on a Hilux.
Thanks General, your my proof! Well, differences were very minimal between JDM and US market versions.
