I ordered one H4 housing to make sure it would fit properly in the stock housing and it does. I'm about to place the order for the second housing but I was wondering if I need a harness to get it to work with the stock wiring? If so, would something like this work? http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/toyo...-relay-upgrade-wiring-harness-diy-h4hlrh.html
I ran H4 bulbs in Hella glass lens, still run the Hella lens as foeus the beam real well. I than switched to HID bulbs & ballast much brighter. Ran these for a lot of years ,sense I have switched again to LED'S . Keeping the Hella lens .
So the stock wiring should be fine for the additional power needed for the H4 bulbs? At the moment I just have the low beams converted to H4's but they look so good on the truck I'd like to convert the high beams as well just so they match.
So I went ahead and upgraded to H4's for the low beams. I've adjusted them a much as I can and I feel like it's just too much glare. It feels like I'm running high beams. I'm wondering if I should just switch them out for something with a projector built in to focus more of the light on the road vs oncoming traffic. I purchased the Hella H4's if anyone is curious.
The 4H's I've see & have two set of ,not using are just bulbs, high & low beam, & go into the Hella glass lens, opposed to the stock sealed beam lens /housing
