So I replaced my head gasket on my 22re and now it does want to start just cranks. Need help, is my timing right. Do I install the distributor at tdc or 5 btdc.
Install the dizzy while the engine is at TDC. The rotor does need to end up pointing directly at the #1 after it rotates a little on it's way in. Hard to tell but it kind of looks like the rotor needs to be turned a little further clockwise, there's a chance that you are a tooth or two off with the dizzy drive gear.
