Figured I'd post this here since it's not a yota if the mods want to move it that's fine. Picking up a bagged and bodied s10 this weekend. I know it's not a yota but I couldn't let a family friend lose it. Don't know much about it besides a family friends best friend that recently passed away was building it and put it in storage for awhile. And they asked if I wanted to buy it. Do my lady and I are going halves on it.
Ya it does but I love doing this so it'll get done. Couldn't see my friends lose it to someone that'll probably part it out and now they can enjoy it with me
Ya there's a lot of rust but should come off pretty easily with a wire wheel. Ya thinking that's why they asked if I wanted to buy it. And got it for a decent price of 500. My lady has wanted a mini for awhile but we didn't want an s10 but this means something to a really good family friend so we decided to get it
It is a lot but I told my lady if she wants to drive it she has to pay half of parts haha so it won't all be on me this time. Once I get it home this weekend I'll be able to judge more of how and what I'll need to tackle this. Plus my lady is gonna help/ learn.
Another solution to rust is Por-15, you can use this product right over rust & it will stop & seal it!! Can be brushed or sprayed, put if you use it use all the precautions !!
She will haha not worried about that she loves minis. She wanted a Mazda or a 4runner but we can't pass on this deal and helping friends
Got the truck home yesterday. Unloaded it today. Gonna be a bigger project than I thought but not worried about it. Got it all cleaned out and started putting things together to make a list of what I'm missing.
Ya she is but I don't really want her out sanding the frame too much shit in the air and it'd fuck with her asthma. And haven't been doing much lately trying to get the house cleaned up before I refinance. But I got the back half cleaned up looks way better now.
