I found them on eBay OEM brand new out of the package for $25 each shipped. It was a steal! They are hard to find new and can be expensive. Somebody on here finally told me they were called quarter wheel house covers. I couldn't find them until I knew the name.

    Right Quarter Wheelhouse Cover 62613-89106

    Left Quarter Wheelhouse Cover 62614-89106

The same covers are used on the same year 4runners also.

My box of goodies I have been collecting. Getting close to taking her off the road for a short while to install some goodies and fix some things that need attention.

I am working on a few different things at once right now. Been working a few things here and there for a little while. Now everything is coming together all at once.

I am also working on the interior.

Still waiting on my intake from the powder coating shop. First there was a delay to order the powder coat and now they are backed up because of rain delays. Hopefully it will be worth the wait. Everything is being sandblasted and powder coated. It was supposed to be a 4 day job which has now turned into 4 weeks! Im glad I didnt pull the parts off the truck to do this. I bought an extra intake and throttle body online FTW!

Its hard to see because of the color but it looks really nice and clean installed. I will post a pic of the finished interior once I finish the steering column cover and kick panels. Thinking about wrapping the door grab handles also.

I recently used mothers back to black on my plastic and it came out very well. My rear quarter wheel house covers look very good. They're even shiny after I wash the truck. I also used it on my mud flaps and they look very good as well. If you can replace them I'd recommend it, but the mothers route is very cheap! Love your build, wanting that stillen valance as well.

Thanks Bud! I recently got Brand New rear quarter wheel house covers for $50. Was worth every penny. I didn't realize how bad the other ones were until I actually took them off. I had been debating on just removing them. There are holes in the bottom of the fender area for the clips that hold them in place. I didn't like how it looked with the holes, so i just replaced them.

I installed my new headlights today and finished wrapping the steering column cover to match the rest of the interior. I also picked up a Brand New windshield wiper reservoir and pump for $20 on craigslist. I didn't need it but it will add to the clean look I want under the hood. Looking forward to testing the new headlights out tonight and getting them aimed properly. I will probably upgrade the H4 bulbs that came with the kit.

I still have to wrap the kick panels and the back firewall of the truck to finish the interior.

I got a chance to adjust the headlights and take a drive tonight. The difference is very noticeable and I am extremely pleased with the improved visibility with the new headlights. I will update my review of these as I get more time to drive at night. I think they work and look great so far though. Im glad I didn't stay with the cheaper set I had before. Everything about these feels more sturdy and quality than the set I bought originally.I may still install HID's in the future.

So I held off on installing the Energy Suspension bushing kit. I'm focusing on fixing an ongoing steering issue once and for all. I took the truck into a suspension shop last week. They loosened and inspected my whole front end. They came to the conclusion that my power steering gear box (that has been rebuilt twice) is bad and also needs new factory mounting bolts. They recommended getting a different gear box and not rebuilding this one again. They advised me against installing the polyurethane bushings due to rough ride/noises and they didn't think it was going to fix the problem I was trying to fix. Its $300 to install the bushings, so I decided to wait. Instead I ordered a new power steering gear box on ebay and new OEM mounting bolts and pitman arm from toyota. The previous owner did a very sloppy power steering swap that I have basically had to replace completely now.

I also ordered Air shocks for the rear and I decided to install the custom 1 inch bolt on steel blocks that I still have from Beefed Taco. That will give me a 5 inch drop in the back total, which is as low as I'm comfortable going without a C-notch. Im hoping the air shocks will give me the adjustability to have the ass end aired out and slammed or air them up to a comfortable ride height to move a small load from time to time. I also ordered an Air Lift air shock controller kit which is basically an onboard compressor and gauge that will allow me to raise or lower the back from the cab whenever I want. I will post pics later once I receive everything and install it.

Just notch the damned thing already. You'll either be riding on the frame or have your ass jacked up in the air like a bitch in heat to avoid riding on the frame. A 2" notch will let you ride in relative comfort.

You don't know anyone with a welder? It's pretty damned easy to do s mini notch like I did.

I know people with a welder just no one I trust cutting up my perfectly good frame. If I'm going to do it, I would rather do it right the first time with someone who has done this kind of fab before.

Depending on the plan for the truck a mini notch can be doing it right the first time. I have no plans to go lower than I am now and I'm as low as possible without bed floor modification. If you plan to go on air later then sure, do a monster notch and hack the floor out of the bed the first time around.
