Hello everyone. Im the proud new owner of the p'up you see in my avatar. Its an 83 that i found on Craigslist. I had been lookin for a week or so for an early 90's model, but after coming across this ones listing, I fell in love. Originally the owner, a very nice older gentleman, was askin $2000 for her. I didnt have that much cash but i was not trying to let this one slip by. So, i emailed him through craigslist, and waited impatiently. To my utter surprise, when i recieved the response, he said i could take it for $1500. I was STOKED!!! The guy was the only owner. He got it new when he was 23, and put an assload of TLC into her. I went up to see him and the truck the next day, and she was even better lookin in person. I had the chance to drive her, and she was spot on. It has over 300k on the engine, but, not surprisingly, still purrs. He has become extremely attached to this gem, and wanted to make sure its new owner would treat her as well as he had. His insensitive wife was makin him get rid of the lil beast. Sux for him, Friggin awsome for me tho!!! After a lil conversating, he was satisfied that i would take care of her, and even offered to email him pics from time to time as i added my own flavor to her. Which he was very happy about. Anyways, I want to first get a good performance header on her, not so much low end but more mid to high end gains. If anyone can point me in the right direction, Id really appreciate it. Also, id like to get into a MiniTruck Club in NJ. Any invites would be welcome. Thanx ahead of time. Blasito

Hot! Something about seeing old Toyotas brings a smile to my face, especially since you rarely find Rangers around that age still on the road and never over 300,000 miles. Can't wait to see how you mod her! It's a beauty now and will look even better completed! Buried treasure, aye?
welcome! glad to see you decided to sign up. I think it might be a bad thing that the mod at minitruckin (me) sends every toyota owner here!
My favorite of this generation was the 1980 my mom's boss has. Sorry, no pictures, but it was an SR5 long bed. White with teal stripes, buckets, etc. However, he was working on it, so it's not running, but looks good. On this gen., I just like the circular headlights on these. Can't wait to see your build up.
Hats off to ya Burnz Thanks for the link buddy. Even though it took ya a couple of tries to get me here, im a bit slow. lol thanks much tho!
