This may be a dumb question, but what is the differences in a 2wd and 4wd bumper? Will a lower 4wd valance work with a 2wd upper? Just curious in the differences.

4wd bumpers are taller in height and wider. There are different 4WD bumpers. 92-95 4WD bumpers will have a dip in the middle.
I wouldn't mix the valances although it could clear it and fit since the 4wd valance is a bit taller and wider too.

I have a 92 2wd bagged, but the truck came with a set of 4wd fenders. I knew they flare out more and didnt know how theyd look with my 2wd bumper. They arent very expensive, but if mine matched pretty close to the fenders i wouldnt buy one

4WD bumper would match up to the fenders

I have a 4x4 valance on my 2wd 88 I had to squeeze it to get it to bolt up on the sides the other two holes I used self tapping screws into the lower frame its very sturdy and is alot lower about two half inches off the ground with my drop

    I have a 1988 2wd with 4x4 fenders & a 92-95 4Runner bumper/valance welded into one piece!
It lines up well with the fenders & yes it is wider than a 2wd unit!!
