What's up guys I haven't posted much lately figured I'd start a new thread on a truck I just got. Was built by Mike babbs and passed around a lot. She's in decent shape for having been built 16 years ago or so.
Ya plans are to restore it. Talked to Mike bishop already and he told me who painted it and he could fix it for me when I'm ready. Trying to get it started but no luck wiring is a mess. Thinking about bringing it to the show April 9th in turlock. Ya I know my buddy posted it in the other thread then sent it to me
Glad you sent it to me though haha talked to K-Daddyz kustomz this morning sent him some pics of the paint and talked about repainting it same way just fixing everything. Hopefully it doesn't break the bank to much
You glad some1 saved her!! Cool that dude remebered doing that rig? thats f-in cool!! yeah, a restore on that would be badass, looks good in pics, cant wait to see it in person!!
I'm thinking about taking it the bring the ruckus show in Turlock April 9th anyone on here around that area can come check the truck out in person
So I swapped out the harness last night still couldn't get it started. But for some reason it wanted to start this afternoon. Has a weird idle gonna get new plugs and wires to see if that helps at all. Also the fuel pump won't turn on without it being jumped so still need to check into that. But that could be my ecu since I'm using a 91 ecu in a 93
Well got her fixed and running right. No more bogging or rough idle. 93 ecu had a burnt diode. Stole one from an amp I had laying around and soldered it into the ecu. Fixed all my issues. No more jumper wire or bogging down when given throttle.
It's a nice little truck going to be getting interior pics today from the original builder he said he had about 6 grand in stereo in it. I'm not planning on going that crazy with stereo. But plan is blue tweed on the inside again and redoing the door panels so they're not hacked up
So have a weird noise coming from the rear end. When I give it gas it goes away soon as I let off it comes back. Kinda sounds like if you have change on the washer but not nearly as loud. Happens at all speeds as well.
is that on an auto tranny? cuz i had a truck that did that same thing, i chased it and chased it, sold the truck and the next owner let me know that it was the torque converter in the tranny.... i thout it was in the rear end...i had replaced all driveline yokes....thinkn they were clanking
